Thank you Kidney Foundation

    Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

We’d like to express our appreciation for the help with travel costs we received from the National Kidney Foundation of Utah.  Living 240 miles from the Kidney Care Center is difficult, but with your help I can receive the car I need to keep my transplanted kidney healthy.  Thank you.  P. Simon.

Thanks a Million!

I recently received a grant to help pay my heating cost.  Words are not big enough to express my gratitude!  I have survived 38 years of CKD, dialysis and tranpslants.  I almost did not survive losing my job as a dialysis center social worker.  I was devistated.   The grant you provided got me through a couple of months until I can get another job.  The grant was a life-saver!  Because you paid my heat, I could pay for my medications.  Words are inadequite to say thank you Kidney Foundation.  T. Murdock.

Dear Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho,

This letter is to say thank you for the love and support that you have given to our family.  We don’t have anything to give or show you how much we appreciate your help during this very trying time.  We ask Heavenly Father to bless the work that you do for those who really need your help.  Again, we thank you.

Tough Times

    Monday, March 23rd, 2009

My name is Terry.  I am the son of Hazel who goes to the Kidney Center in Pocatello.  My mother and I would like to thank you, and and all the corporate and private donors, that make helping people like us through tough times possible.  The Kidney Foundation’s help has made it easier and less stressful to handle our situation. I’d also like to thank our social worker at the Kidney Center for his help. Without you guys, I don’t know where my mother would be.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Sincerely,  Terry & Hazel.

Kidney Foundation helped us through Crises

    Friday, March 6th, 2009

This letter is in regard to your organization helping my husband and me through crises.  We would like to say a very heart felt (or should we say “kidney”) thank you for the help in paying our utility bill.  We knew of Foundations like yours was out there, but we didn’t need it at the time.  That’s when we thought my husband was healthy with only high blood pressure.  Then in April 2008 we discovered a sore on his back over the kidney area.  Doctors did tests on it and found it he was in renal failure.  Plus, on top of that he is diabetic.  We started seeing a kidney specialist, but didn’t have any insurance. The social worker at the dialysis center did everything she could to help us.  She helped us get coverage for dialysis.  This is January 2009, and you helped us pay our power bill. I want you to know how much this help has meant to us.  It has been a hard year, and we are so very grateful for the help we have received.  Thank you, thank you.  Sincerely, R. Tuttle

Kidney Kars Makes Car Donation a Breeze

    Friday, February 27th, 2009

Hi Luz,

We received the receipt for our donation of our ‘94 Ford F250 pickup yesterday–thank you.

When I initially googled “car donation”, many sites came up. I chose the Kidney Foundation because of its longevity and am glad I did. I am impressed with the Utah/Idaho’s website and ease with which we could donate. I spoke with you personally and was impressed with your professionalism and precise way in which you answered all my questions. Donating our vehicle was a breeze.

Thank you for your assistance in our donation process. I can only wish that our vehicle will sell for more at auction to be of greater benefit to your organization.

Sincerely,  K. Sokolowski

Kidney Kars Donations Help Grandpa on Dialysis

    Friday, January 30th, 2009

Dear Kidney Foundation of Utah, It is very hard to put into words how much you have helped me since my kidney failure.  Because of your help, I have stayed alive long enough to see my grandchildren grow up.  This Summer, I was able to arrange to dialyze away from home and visit them in Oregon.  It is so hard to live on dialysis, but with your help, I have been able to make memories with my Grandkids that no one can ever take away.  No matter how bad things get for me, I will have these memories forever.  Thank you for the financial help you have provided to help lighten my burden with my medical care.  Sincerely,  David F.

Kidney Kars helped Pay my Mortgage

    Thursday, January 29th, 2009

Thank you for helping pay our mortgage to Countrywide Home Loans in December. At this point, what income we do have is spent on medical care. In our hardship we have seen miracles to keep us moving forward toward a kidney transplant. The gift from the National Kidney Foundation of Utah was one of these miracles. We are so grateful for your help. Thank you to everyone who donates a car or money to the Kidney Foundation to help keep people like me alive.  Gratefully, George and Ellen B.

Thank you for helping me through school after my kidney transplant

    Friday, December 5th, 2008

My name is Brooke, I am one of the lucky recipients of a generous educational scholarship offered by the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho given to to kidney transplant patients.  I was about 10 years old when I was diagnosed with level three reflux on both of my kidneys.  I received corrective surgery but  the damage was irreversible and my kidney function steadily declined until I had a kidney transplant in 2004 when I was 15.  I had been so sick prior to the transplant I didn’t even realize HOW sick… until the transplant.  It was a miracle.  I felt so much better – a whole new life.  I am now 20 years old, and just finished my 5th semester at Salt Lake Community College.  I just started my first semester in the Occupational Therapy Program.  It has been hard, but very exciting.  Without the Kidney Foundation’s help, I could not have taken so many classes toward my career.  I can not express enough, how incredibly grateful I am to the donors of the Kidney Foundation who make this possible for me.  Thank you for the donations to the Kidney Foundation so I could go to school.  Thank you for looking out for me, and helping me move forward, through the difficulties I’ve had with kidney disease in my life.   Sincerely,   Brook R.
