2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic has presented real challenges to Utah and Idaho’s dialysis and transplant communities. This year’s Kidney Walk-Lace Up event is helping raise awareness regarding the risks that Covid-19 poses to kidney patients. We have essentially turned the Kidney Walk into a virtual event because it is still not safe for the immuno-compromised to gather. Whether on dialysis or having received a kidney transplant, kidney patients make up America’s largest group of immune compromised and most vulnerable to infection. The virtual Kidney Walk Lace Up event was created so our ‘Kidney Community’ can walk in any safe location, at any distance they choose, with the people closest to them. 100% of funds raised will be used for their benefit to help pay their medical financial emergency needs, housing and transportation costs. Everyone who wants to join can participate with us by uploading their Lace Up Event photos at Noon, September 27th to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using hashtags: #KidneyWalk2020 #LaceUP @NKFUtahIdaho
Tell your kidney story to the world with us! You are heard!
